Al Rahma for Charity 
Al Rahma for Charity, part of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Association for Social Development in Ras Al Khaimah, is known for its credibility and unceasing efforts towards the development of the community in the UAE in general and the community of Ras Al Khaimah in particular. Al Rahma for Charity is considered one of the oldest volunteer and charitable institutions in the UAE for the implementation and the establishment of diverse projects. 

The institution’s philanthropy and charitable work is not limited to the collection of Zakat and offering charities, but rather includes the establishment of schools and orphanages, the construction of mosques, digging wells, sponsoring students, orphans and people with special needs and supporting poor families.

UAE Red Crescent

Every year the UAE Red Crescent runs campaigns for different Zakat purposes according to current needs worldwide. It also works closely with other local organizations through thelaunchingof several initiatives, programs and projects that offerthe necessary help and assistance to those in need.

The Red Crescent in Ras Al Khaimahhas worked since its establishment, to promote the spirit of solidarity and compassion among community members. Thanks to the support and assistance of the philanthropists and benefactors of its charitable programs and projects, the Red Crescent has been able to significantly increase its work in the humanitarian field. It has also expanded its programs and activities to include all walks of life and various aspects of support and assistance for low-income (limited) and those less fortunate.

Through its website, the Red Crescent offers the public an opportunity to sponsor orphans and to make donations online.

Sponsoring an Orphan 
Orphans are selected after social research personnel at the Authority’s branches of the UAE, the supervision departments and the Authority’s overseas offices study their social case.

You can sponsor an orphan by selecting a childat the Authority’s headquarters or at one of its branches, which are spread across UAE, or through a representative of theAuthority, who are usually to be found in at Red Crescent kiosks in shopping malls and banks. 

Sponsorship is payable either by a monthly deduction from the sponsor’s bank account or by cash payments in advance for at least six months. The value of the orphan sponsorship ranges monthly between AED 150 - 200 overseas and AED 300 within the UAE.

Beit Al Khair Society 

The Beit Al KhairSociety was established to extend a helping hand to less fortunate families and deserving segments through the launch and implementation of projects and programsthat serve the poor, the destitute, widows, divorcees, low-income categories, patients, families of prison inmates, victims of disasters, defaulters, insolvents, debtors, people of special needs and orphans.

The society provides assistance in cash and in kind, to thosemost in need in the country,through a series of innovative charitable programs and projects. It also provides support to students across different educational levels and cooperates with institutions operating in the country to promote social responsibility towards the UAE society.

HAI is a humanitarian charitable worldwide non-governmental organization that seeks to improve the circumstances of the less fortunate through comprehensive sustainable development. 

Through its activities and executed projects, HAI tries to improve poor societies by developing their educational, health, social and economic circumstances. It also contributes to the relief of communities affected by natural disasters and social calamities, as well as meeting the needs of orphans and improving their physiological, psychological and social circumstances.

Sponsoring Orphans 

Childhood and Orphans’ Care Administration is the concerned body for orphans’ affairs, offering support and care for them as well as their families. 

Sponsoring an orphan through HAI requires some conditions to be fulfilled. The most important is that any orphan’s place of residency must be in an area where it is possible for HAI field office to follow upon him/ hereasily. In addition, the orphan must not be older than 14 years at the time of beginning the sponsorship.
