This service allows customers to receive a customs declaration for their goods exported by land, sea or air following the payment of applicable customs taxes (duties) in accordance with the GCC Common Customs Law.

  1. 1. Exportation of goods

    Issue of Importer code

    Customs Department

    1. 1. Submit your application to the Customer Happiness center after downloading and filling in the relevant form from the website of the Customs Department.
    2. 2. Attach the required documents.
    3. 3. Receive the Importer code

    Certificate of origin

    RAK Chamber

    1. 1. Register online through RAK Chamber website. (For the first transaction)
    2. 2. Submit the application, attach the required documents and pay the applicable fees through the website.
    3. 3. Wait until the application is approved.
    4. 4. Receive the certificate of origin electronically (or collect the original hard copy from RAK Chamber).

    Selection of a customs clearance company approved by Ras Al Khaimah Customs Department

    Customs clearance companies

    1. 1. Select an approved customs clearance company to complete the required procedures for issuing the customs declaration.
    2. 2. Provide the clearance company with the required documents according to the type of trade movement.
    3. 3. Necessary approvals and permits for the shipment as per the goods HS code (customs tariff), if applicable, must be obtained.

    Transportation of goods to the customs point of exit

    Transport and freight-forwarding companies as selected by the customer

    1. 1. Transport the goods intended for exportation to the point of exit in the UAE.
    2. 2. The customer can clear the customs declaration in advance before transporting the goods against additional fees.

    Issue of the customs declaration

    Private\ general customs clearance companies

    1. 1. Prepare the customs declaration through the electronic clearance system in use by the Customs Department and as per the information and shipment details provided in the required documents.
    2. 2. Payment of customs taxes (duties) and fees
    3. 3. Print the customs declaration from the electronic clearance system in use by the Customs Department in order to complete the customs release by the Customer Happiness centers at the customs centers.

    Inspection for customs release purposes

    Customs Department

    1. 1. Customs transactions will be initially audited and checked against the risk channel management system in order to release the goods.
    2. 2. Shipments and modes of transport will be inspected at the competent customs centers of the Customs Department.
    3. 3. The entry\exit gate pass will be issued.
